Buenos Dias! Monday, January 30
Well,
we are all home safe and somewhat sound. There are a few lingering
bouts of minor digestive issues, but all in all we are in good shape.
We had a wonderful closing to our language school. God blessed beyond
our wildest hopes. Numbers cannot begin to tell the story of all God
has accomplished, but here they are:
We
had a total of 513 attendees. Of the 328 adults and teens that
attended, 119 said "yes" to Jesus during the week, and 198 wanted more
information about becoming a follower of Christ. This is an awesome
testimony of the faithfulness of our Savior. If we will go and tell, He
will draw to Himself the heart of those hearing. To God be the Glory!

This
has been an incredible month of ministry in Nicaragua. God has done
great things in the hearts of the Nicaraguan people we encountered, and
He has done immeasurably more in us than we could have hoped or asked.

God
has affirmed our ministry and purpose in Nicaragua, and we are excited
about the future of the work there. This work is much larger than
Celebration Church. During the past month, five different churches were
represented in the ministry projects. Hibernia Baptist, who sent 9
members of our language school team, is already on board to teach next
January. This allows us to recruit a new team for a July school in
Matagalpa. In addition to the opportunities in Matagalpa, we received a
request to bring our language school to Costa Rica. The expanding scope
of ministry opportunities requires more teams of committed ministers of
the gospel!

As
we move forward with these ministry opportunities, our vision is to
create a non-profit missions agency that will become the sending and
administrative entity. Celebration church will be heavily involved in
the work in Nicaragua, but we will go with other churches and
organizations through the sending agency. This is being done to make
the ministry more accessible to others outside the body of Celebration.
Please pray for us as we seek to follow the Lord's leading in setting
up these organizations and planning future ministry opportunities. Pray
that God will begin now to prepare the hearts of those who will go and
those who will give to accomplish the work God has prepared for us to
do.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
